3 New Faces Join Telford Town Ahead of Stafford Clash

New boys join ahead of tonight

Telford Town are delighted to confirm the signing of three new players ahead of tonight’s fixture against Stafford Town, strengthening the squad at both ends of the pitch.

First through the door is goalkeeper Sam Wollaston.

Sam is a talented and ambitious shot-stopper who began his career with the highly successful academy setup at Hednesford Town before gaining valuable senior experience with Brereton Social FC.

A commanding presence between the posts, Sam is known for his sharp reflexes, strong handling, and vocal leadership from the back. Comfortable playing out from defence and brave in one-on-one situations, he adds both competition and quality to the goalkeeping department.

The management team believe he has the hunger and potential to develop into a key figure for the club.

Joining the midfield ranks is experienced campaigner Godfrey Summerville.

Godfrey arrives having previously represented Warstones Wanderers and Wolverhampton Casuals, bringing with him a wealth of non-league experience.

A composed and intelligent midfielder, Godfrey reads the game superbly and brings balance to the centre of the park. Strong in the tackle and calm in possession, he offers leadership, discipline, and a winning mentality that will be invaluable as the season progresses.

His experience and physical presence are expected to add steel and stability to the Town midfield.

Completing the trio is attacking midfielder James Quarry, who joins from Wolverhampton Sporting, where he has been a long-serving and highly influential player.

James is a creative and forward-thinking midfielder who thrives in advanced areas of the pitch. Comfortable receiving the ball between the lines, he possesses excellent vision, technical quality, and an eye for goal. Capable of unlocking defences with clever through balls or arriving late into the box to score himself, he adds genuine attacking threat and flair to the squad.

His experience at this level, combined with his ability to make things happen in the final third, makes him an exciting addition ahead of tonight’s fixture.
