Ladies with back to back wins and 6 points

4-0 victory over Shrewsbury Up n Comers

There is plenty to be excited about as Telford Town Ladies embark on the 2026/27 season, with a developing squad, a new campaign ahead and the ambition to continue pushing the women’s section of the club forward.
The early weeks have already produced plenty of competitive football. Town opened their league campaign with consecutive 2–2 draws against Newcastle Town and Lane Head, and today produced their most emphatic performance of the season so far with a 4–0 victory over Shrewsbury Up n Comers at the Lionheart Security Services Stadium. Town established control during the first half, with Lessong Janneh opening the scoring before Maisie Docherty added a second to send the Ladies into the interval with a 2–0 advantage. There was plenty of commitment on display too, with Romillie Evans picking up a first-half yellow card following a robust challenge.
The hosts continued where they left off after the break. Lilia Harvey made it 3–0 before Docherty grabbed her second of the afternoon to complete the scoring at 4–0.
Unfortunately, the football became secondary when a serious injury brought proceedings to a premature conclusion. The match was abandoned after 76 minutes at the request of the visitors, with Town leading 4–0. Everyone at Telford Town FC sends their very best wishes to the injured player and hopes for a full and speedy recovery.
A new team photo for 2026/27
Before today's action, the Ladies also came together for their official 2026/27 team photograph, proudly wearing the club's blue home strip.
Today's matchday squad featured Savannah Weiss, Abbie Price, Megan Lane, captain Sophie Curns, Romillie Evans, Lucy Warner, Lexi Bennett, Maisie Docherty, Skye Hipkiss, Lessong Janneh, Milana Strickley, Charlie Bates, Kaitlyn Richards and Lilia Harvey.
The squad is even bigger than today's photograph shows, with Maddi Hawthorne, Fatimata Babangida and Coleen Johnson all missing from the official team photo.
It is another sign of how the Ladies section continues to grow. Telford Town's rise has already seen the side progress into the West Midlands Regional Women's Football League, and the focus now is firmly on taking another step forward. Telford Town FC
There will undoubtedly be plenty of challenges along the way, but there is a real sense of excitement around this group and what they can achieve together.
New season. New memories to make. One Town. ?
Come on you Town Ladies!
