Telford Town Football Club is pleased to confirm that Ray Lindsay has been appointed as the club’s new Director of Football.
Ray joined the club 18 months ago as Head of Youth Development and has been instrumental in building a full and thriving junior section. Under his leadership, Telford Town now operates teams from Under 7s through to Under 19s, creating a clear pathway for young players to progress within the club.
That pathway is already delivering, with a number of players progressing through the youth setup to make first-team appearances during the current season.
On his appointment, Ray said:
“I’m proud of what we’ve built at Telford Town over the last 18 months. Creating a proper pathway for young players and giving them real opportunities has always been the aim, and it’s great to see that already feeding into the first team. Taking on the Director of Football role allows us to align everything across the club and keep driving standards as we move forward,
I love this club and I am really excited about the future.”
Ray will now oversee football operations across the club, working closely with the senior management team to ensure alignment between youth development, academy progression and first-team performance.
On the appointment of Ray, Club Chairman Hayden Dando said:
“Ray has done an outstanding job building our youth section from the ground up and embedding a genuine pathway into our senior sides. This appointment brings clear football leadership and continuity to the club, and it’s fully deserved. He understands the club at every level and I’m delighted he’s agreed to take on the role.”
