Telford Town Football Club can confirm that First Team Manager Matthew Boswell will be leaving the club to pursue a new opportunity.

Matthew first took charge of the men’s first team in 2022, stepping up from his role as Development Manager.

Following the club’s takeover and rebrand as Telford Town Football Club in January 2024, Matthew played a pivotal role in shaping one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.

Under Boz’s guidance the club won the Powell cup twice, the Shropshire challenge cup and the West Midlands (Regional) Premier league in 2025 to gain promotion to step 6.

Matthew’s impact on the club, both on and off the pitch, has been significant, and his contribution to the club’s growth and success will not be forgotten.

Everyone at Telford Town Football Club would like to place on record their sincere thanks to Matthew for his dedication, professionalism, and achievements, and we wish him every success in the next chapter of his career.

An interim management team will be announced in due course to take the first team whilst the recruitment process begins for a new manager.
