Telford Town FC are delighted to announce the addition of Stevie McCormick to Matthew Boswell’s first team coaching staff.
A seasoned football figure with a wealth of experience both on and off the pitch, McCormick brings decades of knowledge to the DRM Aggregates Arena. The Scottish-born coach enjoyed a prolific playing career as a forward, representing clubs across Scotland and England, including Queen’s Park, Stirling Albion, Dundee, Leyton Orient, Greenock Morton, Airdrieonians, East Fife, Clydebank, and Dumbarton.
Following his playing days, McCormick transitioned into coaching and management, spending an impressive 14 years at Market Drayton Town. He initially joined as assistant manager before taking the reins as first team manager, being part of the management team at the club through numerous campaigns and building a reputation for developing talent and fostering a strong team culture.
Speaking on his appointment, First Team Manager Matthew Boswell said:
“Steve is a fantastic addition to our setup. His knowledge of the game, professionalism, and passion for development align perfectly with what we’re building here at Telford Town. His experience at both playing and management levels makes him a valuable asset as we push forward.”
Stevie has began working with the squad immediately as preparations continue ahead of Saturdays opening game away to Foley Meir.
Welcome to the club Stevie!
