TELFORD TOWN FC ENTERS MAJOR NEW ERA UNDER DANDO AND STONE

Adrian Davies14 May - 17:07

New Co-Chairman and joint owner on board

Telford Town Football Club is delighted to confirm that Jonathan Stone has officially become joint owner of the football club, acquiring a 50% shareholding alongside Hayden Dando, with both parties now serving as Co-Chairmen of TTFC Ltd.

The deal marks a major milestone in the continued growth and development of Telford Town Football Club and signals the beginning of an ambitious new era both on and off the pitch.

Florida-based businessman Stone joins the club bringing extensive business experience alongside a lifelong passion and deep understanding of English non-league football. Originally from Kent, Stone has spent over 30 years involved within the game as a referee and has built a strong reputation within the sports memorabilia industry as owner of Blue Breaks Sports and Hobby Shop, one of the fastest-growing collectible card and sports trading brands in the United States.

In addition to his USA operations, Stone also works closely with football clubs in the UK through the development of club shops and supporter retail initiatives designed to strengthen club revenues and fan engagement. Blue Breaks are currently official shirt sponsors of Lichfield City FC, and the club can also confirm that a charity friendly between Telford Town and Lichfield City will take place this summer.

Jonathan’s arrival at Telford Town also welcomes his wife Courtney Stone and their son Callum into the football club, further strengthening the family-driven culture and values which sit at the heart of Telford Town FC.

The Stone family, bring with them a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for community growth, innovation, and fan engagement. Their commitment to expanding the Blue Breaks brand through dynamic partnerships made Telford Town FC a natural fit.

Speaking following completion of the deal, Jonathan Stone said:

“We are incredibly excited to get on board with Telford Town FC,” said Jonathan Stone. “At Blue Breaks, we are always looking for innovative ways to broaden our brand and connect with communities that share our passion and ambition. Telford Town represents a fantastic opportunity to help build something special for supporters, players, and the wider local community.”

Courtney Stone added: “From our very first conversations, it was clear there is a genuine vision for growth at Telford Town. We are thrilled to be part of that journey and can’t wait to help create an exciting future for the club.”

Working alongside Hayden Dando and his wife Abbie, along with the current board of directors the new ownership group is already focused on strengthening the club’s foundations and enhancing the overall supporter experience. Among the first developments is the launch of a brand-new club shop, designed to provide fans with exciting new merchandise and a stronger connection to the club.

In addition, supporters can look forward to the announcement of exciting new Season Ticket promotions in the coming weeks as the club continues its push to grow its fanbase and reward loyal supporters.

Co-Chairman Hayden Dando added:

“I am absolutely delighted to welcome Jonathan, Courtney, and Callum to Telford Town Football Club.

Jonathan and I have known each other for a while through business outside of football and throughout that period it became very clear that we shared the same vision and ambition for what this football club can become.

Jonathan brings not only significant business experience, but also a genuine passion and deep understanding of non-league football, which is incredibly important. He understands the culture of the game, the challenges clubs face, and the opportunities that exist to continue growing both on and off the pitch.

The fact this is something Jonathan is entering into alongside Courtney and Callum also means a huge amount to me personally, because family has always been at the centre of everything we have tried to build at Telford Town.

Over the last two years we have made incredible progress as a football club, but we firmly believe the best is still to come. Together we have very big ambitions for Telford Town Football Club and this is another major step forward in what we believe can be a hugely exciting future for everyone connected to the club.”

One of the first major developments of the club’s new era will be the construction of a brand-new club shop, offering a wide range of Telford Town merchandise alongside Blue Breaks’ sports and trading card products, including Pokémon and other collectibles aimed at younger supporters.

In addition, the club’s long-awaited new food area will be completed this summer, with further infrastructure and stadium improvements also planned ahead of the new season.

The club will also be launching a club podcast with the latest news, chats and info across the whole club, this begins with the first ever episode hosted by Vaughan Murphy who will be chatting with Hayden and Jonathan about the future for the club.

With major plans already underway both on and off the pitch, Telford Town Football Club now moves into an ambitious new era under the joint leadership of Hayden Dando and Jonathan Stone.

UP THE TOWN!
