Telford Town FC is proud to launch the official Player Pathway – a clear journey for boys and girls from their very first kick at age 5 through to adult football at Step 6.
The pathway sets out how players at every stage can grow, develop, and progress with Telford Town FC:
Mini Soccer (Ages 5–11) – Fun, friendships, and learning the game in a safe and supportive environment.
Youth Development (Ages 12–16) – Competitive football, technical growth, and tactical understanding.
Academy & Education (Ages 16–19) – Full-time football and study with UEFA-qualified coaches, a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, and opportunities including US scholarships.
Men’s & Women’s First Teams (Step 6) – Competitive senior football, with clear routes into reserves, development squads, and coaching opportunities.
Alongside football, the pathway also focuses on education, wellbeing, inclusivity, and life skills – ensuring every player is supported both on and off the pitch.
Director of Youth Football Ray Lindsay said:
“This pathway shows our commitment to building a clear, professional structure for every player – whether they’re starting out at 5 years old or progressing into senior football. It’s about opportunity, development, and community.”
