Telford Town Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of experienced striker Nathan Blissett on dual registration from Hednesford Town.
Blissett arrives at the club with an exceptional pedigree, having played across the Football League and National League system with clubs including Romulus, Kidderminster Harriers, Bristol Rovers, Torquay United, Plymouth Argyle, Macclesfield, Solihull Moors, Maidenhead United, AFC Telford United and Stafford Rangers.
A powerful and proven forward, Blissett brings a level of experience, physicality and know-how rarely seen at this level, significantly strengthening the squad as the club looks to move forward.
Interim Manager Shaun Ralph said:
“This is a big signing for us, there’s no doubt about that. Nathan’s played at a very good level for a long time and brings a presence that you can’t really replace.
We actually identified Nathan a couple of weeks ago and put the 7-day approach in early, but he quite rightly took his time to assess things. That shows the level he’s been playing at and the standards he sets for himself.
I know him very well as a person as well as a player, and that’s just as important. He’s the type of character you want in your dressing room — honest, experienced and someone who sets standards.
The lads will feed off him, and I’ve no doubt he’ll have a big impact for us both on and off the pitch.”
Blissett isn’t available for Saturdays trip to Market Drayton but is available for selection for Telford Town’s next home fixture against Alsager Town next weekend, where supporters will get their first opportunity to see the new signing in action.
This signing represents another clear step in Telford Town’s ambition to strengthen, evolve and build a side capable of competing at a higher level.
Welcome to the Town Bliss
