Telford Town FC would like to express its sincere thanks to one of our supporters following an incredibly generous donation to the club’s Disability & Inclusive Football section.

The supporter has asked to remain anonymous and did not seek any recognition for their generosity. However, everyone involved with Telford Town FC and our Disability & Inclusive Football programme felt it was important to acknowledge the contribution and the difference it will make.

The donation will be invested directly into our Disability & Inclusive Football provision, helping the section to continue developing and providing opportunities for players to enjoy football in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Chris Lowe, Head of Disability & Inclusive Football at Telford Town FC, said:

“This week our Disability & Inclusive Football section received a very generous donation from one of our own Telford Town FC supporters.

“Although they wish to remain unnamed and wanted no fuss, everyone involved with our Disability & Inclusive Football section would like to take this opportunity to express a massive thank you.

“This donation will be invested into the section, will go a long way and will help us continue driving forward.

“On a personal note, I would also like to say a very big thank you. This is a true testament not only to what we have built, but also to how much this club is at the heart of our community and the fantastic support we have around us.

“Thank you again to our incredibly supportive donor.”

“The work Chris has done with these players is nothing short of amazing and is a huge credit to everyone involved.

“When I came on board at Telford Town FC, I wasn’t aware of every player or every team – and that’s okay. But over time, what I am learning and becoming increasingly aware of is how we, as a football club, are giving everyone the opportunity to play their best game.

“Chris and his team are giving every single one of these players that opportunity, and that means the world to myself and my family, as well as Hayden Dando and his family.

“This incredibly generous donation is another testament to what is being created here. Being able to go out, attend training, watch the games and see every single player enjoying football and playing their best game is something very special.

Telford Town FC is proud of the continued growth of its Disability & Inclusive Football section and of the dedication shown by Chris, his team, the players, families and volunteers who make it possible.
