Telford Town FC are delighted to announce that goalkeeper George Scott has agreed to join the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 23-year-old arrives at the DRM Aggregates Arena bringing valuable experience from across the non-league pyramid, having represented AFC Telford United, Market Drayton Town, Shifnal Town and most recently Eccleshall FC.
Scott began his footballing journey within the academy system at The New Saints before continuing his development with AFC Telford United. Since then, he has gained senior experience across the Midlands and North West non-league scene, building a reputation as a talented young goalkeeper with excellent shot-stopping ability and a strong presence between the posts.
During his spell at Eccleshall, Scott earned recognition across the North West Counties League, including receiving the Division One South Goalkeeper of the Month award following a series of impressive performances and clean sheets.
Still only 23, Scott adds further competition and quality to Shaun Ralph’s squad as preparations continue for the new campaign.
Everyone at Telford Town FC would like to welcome George to the club and wish him every success at the club.
Welcome to Telford Town, George!
