Telford Town are delighted to confirm the signing of defender Brett Taylor from AFC Bridgnorth.
The 25-year-old makes the move to the Lionheart Security Services Stadium having been a regular and experienced member of the Bridgnorth squad in recent seasons.
Brett arrives with an impressive footballing background.
He spent eight years in the youth system at Wolverhampton Wanderers before continuing his development with Shrewsbury Town, where he earned a scholarship.
Taylor subsequently gained senior experience with the likes of Kidderminster Harriers and Lye Town before making the move into the Cymru Premier with Newtown.
More recently, Brett has established himself as a familiar figure with AFC Bridgnorth, where he has accumulated extensive senior experience over several seasons.
Telford supporters will not need much introduction.
Brett featured for Bridgnorth at the Lionheart Security Services Stadium on Saturday as Town came from behind to draw 1-1 before progressing 6-5 on penalties in the Macron Cup.
Now, just days later, he swaps Bridgnorth for Telford.
Capable of operating across the defence, Taylor adds further quality, experience and versatility to Mike Dunn’s squad.
Manager Mike Dunn said:
“Brett is a player I’ve been really keen to bring to the club and I’m delighted we’ve managed to get it done.
“He’s got a fantastic footballing background, he’s played at a higher level and he’s someone who gives us real quality and experience.
“He knows the level, he’s competitive and he’s exactly the type of player we want to bring into the group.
“We saw him first-hand again at the weekend and I’m really looking forward to having him on our side now.”
Everyone at Telford Town would like to welcome Brett to the club.
WELCOME TO TELFORD, BRETT!
