Telford Town are delighted to confirm the signing of Tyler Bishop from Wednesfield Community.
The versatile midfielder makes the move to the Lionheart Security Services Stadium having featured regularly for Wednesfield during the opening weeks of the 2026/27 campaign.
And Tyler is certainly no stranger to Telford supporters.
Earlier this month, Bishop scored the 80th-minute winner against Town as Wednesfield secured a 3-2 victory, one of two league goals he has scored during the current campaign.
Capable of operating in central midfield or at right-back, Tyler adds further versatility to Mike Dunn’s squad.
Bishop developed with Chasetown’s reserve/U23 setup, where he featured in the Midland Football League Challenge Trophy Final, before going on to represent Wolverhampton Casuals.
During his time with Casuals, Tyler featured in central and holding midfield roles before subsequently moving on to Wednesfield.
Now he makes the switch to Telford and could go from scoring against Town to pulling on the blue, white and red.
Manager Mike Dunn said:
“Tyler is someone who gives us real versatility and knows this level well.
“He can play in midfield or at right-back, he’s competitive and has plenty of energy. We’ve obviously seen first-hand already this season the impact he can have in games.
“I’m really pleased to get him in and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
Everyone at Telford Town would like to welcome Tyler to the club.
WELCOME TO TELFORD, TYLER!
