Tuesday night saw Telford Town face Gornal Athletic at the Hamer Leisure Stadium as the two sides clashed for the second time in the league.

Early on and the game was tight with both sides having possession but waring to over commit, an enforced change over the lively Darragh Bustin for the visitors coincided with their best spell of the game where they brought a couple of very good saves out of ams keeper Jack Boswell including a very good save from a header down to his right. AMS had a couple of half chances with Rune Corinaldi putting the ball wide in a one on one and Mark Danks forcing a save from the visiting stopper.

HALF TIME 0-0

The second half began much like the first, both teams having their chances but neither really testing either keeper at that point, a low drive from the left for the AMS was converted by Joey Nixon only for the offside flag to be up to rule the goal out. A couple more chances came for the hosts with Will Evans nearly taking advantage of a goal mouth scramble and the lively Joey Nixon going through one on one before trying to square the ball for a certain goal however a fantastic block from the recovering Gornal defender ensured the scores stayed level.

In the dying moments of injury time Boswell again made a superb save to deny the visitors a late winner and when the referee blew the final whistle both sides agreed a 0-0 draw was a fair reflection of the game.
